Key Information:
– Eligibility: Students must pass all their courses and have completed their Social Outreach Project (SOP)

– Registration for Graduation: Students who wish to participate in the graduation ceremony MUST complete the Intent to Graduate form. Proof of payment needs to be submitted prior to the Graduation Photo Day, November 7, 2024.

Graduation Day Schedule:
Arrival and check-in time- All graduands are asked to arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. at the venue on graduation day to prepare for a rehearsal and the commencement processional. Graduands will be arranged by programme for marching in and seating.

Ceremony start time– 2:00 p.m.
Duration of the ceremony– 2 hours

Graduation Attire:
Gown Collection- Gowns will be collected on Graduation Picture Day, November 7, 2024

How to Collect Your Gown- Proof of Graduation Fee payment, Intent to Graduate and Talent Release forms are to be submitted before receiving gown and cap. Graduates will be directed to the gown collection room upon arrival.

Graduation Cost:
$21,000 (Option 1) – for the participating graduand;

$12,500 (Option 2) – for the graduand who does not attend but would like to have photos taken;

$5,000 (Option 3) – for the graduand who does not attend and will not take photos.

Graduation Photo Day Guidelines:

  1. The Dress Code must be observed- Ladies should be attired in modest white tops. Males should be attired in white dress shirts with ties. No T-shirts or other colours will be allowed.
  2. Be on time- Graduands are to arrive at least half an hour ahead of time to allow for fittings of the cap and gown and any other preparations.
  3. Proof of Payment must be provided-Proof of payment must be submitted to the Graduation Photo Day Facilitator prior to entry into the dress fitting area.
  4. Talent Release Form-All completed Talent Release Forms should be submitted to the Graduation Photo Day Facilitator or emailed to registry@btcc.edu.jm.

Guidelines on formal attire to be worn under the gown.

Males: Men must be dressed in a white shirt, with dark-coloured pants (grey/black/dark blue)

Females: Ladies must be dressed in a modest length, white dress, not longer than the gown, or one that is too short. There should be no revealing cleavage.

Return process for rented attire:

Reception details: The Graduate and 2 guests will receive tickets for refreshments. Tickets will be issued after they return their gowns to the gown area.  

Guest Information:

Tickets: Each graduand may invite two (2) guests to the ceremony. Graduands will be issued 1 ticket for refreshments for themselves (only) after the ceremony.
