Associate of Science in Agro Processing and Business Management

The Associate of Applied Science in Agro-Processing & Business Management is a two-year full-time programme offered at Brown’s Town Community College (BTCC). It is designed to prepare students for employment and entrepreneurship in the growing agro-processing sector, with strong emphasis on food safety, value-added production, and business management.

Associate of Applied Science in Agro-Processing & Business Management (CCCJ)

A two-year, full-time programme offered at Brown’s Town Community College (BTCC).

The curriculum combines:

  • Classroom learning in agribusiness, marketing, food science, and entrepreneurship
  • Practical training in food processing techniques, safety standards, and production systems
  • Hands-on experience through labs, product development projects, and industry exposure

Delivery Mode: Full-time – Face-to-face

Applied, industry-aligned training preparing graduates for roles across Jamaica’s agro-processing value chain and small business operations.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Five (5) CSEC/GCE subjects, including:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • One science subject (e.g., Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry)

Applicants without Mathematics must complete Foundation Concepts in Mathematics I, II, and III in Year 1.

Certification

Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded the Associate of Applied Science in Agro-Processing & Business Management conferred by the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica (CCCJ).
