Nursing Campus

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is designed to produce graduates who demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for safe nursing care. This programme is offered in collaboration with the University of West Indies(Mona) and the Nursing Council of Jamaica.The graduates of this programme should apply evidence-based nursing care to patients and their families at any stage of the life cycle.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (UWI)
  • Duration-4 years

Entry Requirement:

Passes in at least five (5) CSEC subjects at the General Proficiency Level / GCE O’ Level (or equivalent) including Mathematics, English A / English Language and at least one of the following Science subjects: Biology or H & S Biology  and 2 other subjects.  At least 3 of the 5 required subjects including at least 1 major must be at a minimum of B or grade 2. Candidates will also be required to hold two (2) Units of CAPE subjects, one of which should be Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Biology.

The Canadian Practical Nursing Programme through the Centre for Nursing Studies.

Duration- 4 semesters

Entry Requirement:

4 CXC/GCE including Mathematics, English Language, Biology/H & S Biology and ONE OTHER SUBJECT.

Our three Campuses and Industrial Training Unit

The institution currently operates three campuses – the Brown’s Town (Main Campus), Nursing and Technical Campuses and an Industrial Training Unit.
